An interactive science notebook is a place to record student work. It is convenient because all work is kept in one place. Students will be able to keep the notebook and use it as a resource in high school. It is extremely important that students bring their notebooks to class each day. Pages should never be torn out and points will be lost if pages are missing.

8/24/16 Notebook Rubric should be attached to the inside of the front cover. 8/24/16 All pages should be numbered on both sides. Table of contents goes on pages 1, 2, 3, 4. 8/24/16 About the Author should be attached to page 5. Students can draw a picture of themselves or attach a photograph. 8/25/16 Science Safety Rules should be attached along the grey edge on page 6. Students should write what each rule means to them under the fold-up. 8/29/16 Science Measurements and Tool should be on page 7. Glue the yellow paper on the sides and bottom to make a pocket. The cards go inside the pocket. 8/30/16 Scientific Method should be attached along the edge on page 8. Students should write what each step means under each fold-up. 8/31/16 The Hypothesis Fold-up and Testable Question sentence stem should be attached on page 9. 9/1/16 Scientific Method Comic should be on page 10. Students should draw one picture for each step of the scientific method. 9/2/16 STEM Engineering should be on page 11. 9/2/16 The Paper Chain Engineering Reflection should be on page 12.
